School Gardening Workshop

Many students today are disconnected from nature, and teachers often struggle to find new ways to engage them with hands-on learning

Students are often limited to classroom learning, missing out on the chance to connect with the natural world, which can stifle their curiosity and growth.

Local Roots' School Organic Gardening Workshop is an immersive educational experience tailored for students from Grade 1 to Grade 12. This program takes students on a journey into the world of organic gardening, transforming their understanding of where food comes from and how it can be grown sustainably.

For teachers, meanwhile, we provide fresh, interactive approaches that inspire and foster teamwork while complementing the school curriculum.

We’re Here to Guide You

At Local Roots, we understand how challenging it can be to keep students engaged while fulfilling curriculum requirements.

That’s why our Organic Gardening Trips provide an immersive, educational experience where students get hands-on with nature, and teachers gain a powerful tool for teaching sustainability, life skills, and teamwork.

Our workshop is more than just an introduction to gardening; it explores organic living. By the end of the program, students will have a thriving garden of their own, along with a deeper understanding of how organic practices contribute to a healthier, more sustainable world.

Whether they're young children or teenagers, every student leaves with valuable knowledge and a newfound passion for organic gardening.
