Description
Tess’s Land Race Currant Tomato (Solanum pimpinellifolium) is a prolific heirloom currant tomato known for producing huge clusters of tiny, deep red fruits. Each tomato is very small but packed with bright, sweet-tart flavor, making it perfect for fresh snacking, salads, garnishes, and adding to dishes whole.
The vigorous indeterminate plants can spread widely and produce an exceptional number of fruits throughout the growing season. Strong support is recommended to manage the long, sprawling vines and heavy clusters.
When to Plant in the UAE

- Space plants approximately 60–90 cm apart, allowing extra room for their vigorous growth.
- Provide a strong trellis, cage, or stake to support the long vines and fruit clusters.
- Keep soil consistently moist, especially during flowering and fruit development.
- Add compost before planting and feed with a balanced tomato fertilizer during active growth.
- Harvest clusters when the fruits develop their full deep red color.
- Pick regularly to encourage continued production.
