Description

Green Purslane (Portulaca oleracea) is a nutritious, fast-growing leafy green known for its succulent green leaves and tender stems. It has a pleasantly fresh, slightly tangy flavor and can be enjoyed raw or cooked. A traditional edible plant found in many cuisines, purslane is excellent in fresh salads, sandwiches, soups, stews, and cooked vegetable dishes.

Its succulent leaves also make it naturally well adapted to warm conditions and relatively dry periods once established. Green Purslane is an easy and productive choice for home gardens, raised beds, and containers.
