• Indoor Option: In warmer areas, you may start seeds indoors in October and transplant outdoors by late November.

Tips for Planting

• Do not transplant easily: Poppies dislike root disturbance — direct sowing is preferred.

• Soil: Choose light, well-draining soil in a sunny location.

• Sowing: Scatter seeds thinly on the soil surface and lightly press in — do not bury deeply.

• Watering: Keep soil moist but not soaked during germination (7–14 days).

• Spacing: Once seedlings are a few cm tall, thin to 15–20 cm apart.

• Bloom Time: Flowers bloom in 60–75 days and continue into early spring if weather stays cool.
