Description
Broad Leaf Sage (Salvia officinalis) is a hardy perennial herb valued for its aromatic, velvety grey-green leaves and distinctive earthy flavor. A classic culinary herb, it is excellent for seasoning roasted vegetables, meats, soups, sauces, stuffing and pasta dishes. The plants form attractive, bushy growth and produce delicate purple-blue flowers that are also popular with pollinators. An excellent herb for garden beds, raised beds and containers.
When to Plant in the UAE

- Can also be started indoors and transplanted once temperatures begin to cool.
Planting & Care Tips
- Sow seeds about 0.5 cm deep in light, well-drained soil.
- Germination usually takes 10–21 days.
- Space plants 30–45 cm apart.
- Grow in full sun with at least 6 hours of direct sunlight.
- Water moderately and allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings.
