Description
Wooly Kate Yellow Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) is a rare and unusual open-pollinated variety bred by renowned tomato breeder Tom Wagner. The plants are especially distinctive for their soft, fuzzy blue-green foliage and stems, giving them an almost ornamental appearance. They produce abundant yellow cocktail-sized tomatoes with contrasting purple to blue shoulders and a light peach-like fuzz on the skin.
The fruits are juicy, sweet and low in acidity, typically around 2–3 inches in diameter. The unusual appearance makes Wooly Kate Yellow an excellent choice for fresh eating, salads, vegetable platters and specialty dishes. The plants are indeterminate and benefit from strong support.
