Planting & Care Tips

• Light & Soil: Grow in full sun during cooler months, or provide partial shade as temperatures rise. Use fertile, well-draining soil enriched with compost.
• Depth & Germination: Sow seeds 0.5 cm deep or lightly press them onto the soil surface. Germination typically occurs within 4–10 days.
• Spacing: Space plants 25–30 cm apart, with 30–40 cm between rows.
• Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist, especially during active leaf growth, while avoiding waterlogged conditions.
• Feeding: Apply compost before planting and feed with a balanced fertilizer every 3–4 weeks during active growth.
• Harvest: Baby leaves can be harvested approximately 30–40 days after sowing, while mature leaves are typically ready in 55–70 days.
• Harvesting Tips: Harvest outer leaves as needed for a continuous supply, or cut the entire head at the base once the leaves are well developed. Harvest during the cooler part of the day for the best freshness and crispness.
