• Depth & Germination: Sow seeds 2–3 cm deep. Germination typically occurs within 5–10 days in warm soil.
• Spacing: Space plants 10–15 cm apart, with 45–60 cm between rows.
• Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist, especially during flowering and pod development, while avoiding waterlogged conditions.
• Feeding: Add compost before planting. Avoid excessive nitrogen, which can encourage leafy growth at the expense of pod production.
• Support: Bush-type plants generally do not require support, although light staking can help keep plants upright when heavily loaded with pods.
• Harvest: Pods are typically ready approximately 50–60 days after sowing, when they are young, crisp, and tender.
• Harvesting Tips: Harvest pods every 1–2 days once production begins. Pick green and yellow pods when they are firm and well developed, and purple pods while they are still tender for the best texture.
